About Me

I am Reetika Sarkar, a 20 something who recently got married married about a year ago into a family of foodies and ever since, has been hooked on cooking. Before marriage, cooking was something I was least interested in and all I knew was to make Maggi, tea and coffee. Also, I have recently developed a major interest in baking and dreaming about having my own bakery makes my days go by......

As of now, I spend a major part of my day doing my mundane desk job and pursue cooking/baking as a hobby. Whenever I get spare time, I love to spend it surfing food blogs in search of the perfect recipe. As I am engaged in a full time job, the perfect recipe for me is one which tastes good and can be made with ingredients easily available and is not time-consuming.

Although I love good food (Okay who am I kidding? I cannot live without good food!) I hate to see myself overweight and my constant endeavor is to tweak the recipes and make them healthier without compromising on taste. I always prefer to use home made spices, etc., as I feel they're free from the harmful preservatives/ingredients used in store bought products.

My passion for writing has driven me to start this blog and I will write about my experiences in the kitchen. Having said that, I would like to specify that I am still learning and I do commit blunders and I will write about them too. You could simply have a laugh at them, might relate with your own stories and even suggest me ways to improvise, which I would happily imbibe.

Please do note that abusive/derogatory comments and plagiarism are not acceptable. A lot of effort and time goes into creating each and every post in the blog. The cooking, photography and wording of each post/recipe is done solely by me. DO NOT use/reproduce any material from this blog without prior permission.

If you're a fellow blogger reading this, just send me a link to your blog and I shall be glad to add you back.

Hope you enjoy reading the blog and I shall be grateful for your valuable comments and feedback.

Happy cooking and eating to all you folks!
